It's important to choose the correct size (small, medium, and large), or else you'll have to create another widget for a different size if you're unhappy with it. To create a note, tap on "Add Note" at the top, then choose which size you want for your widget.

After creating a new note, you'll be able to choose from yellow, blue, green, or pink for the note's background color.
